Eclipse plug-in development (the basics)

Looking for some help of how to create a google maps visualizer layer for uDig, and because it lives in a rich client platform any developer is able to create addons in order to extend it’s functionalities. Developing a background layer for the main panel is one of the solutions. Today I received a tweet about how to accomplish that. The source of this tutorial is really trustful (IBM).
