My name is Helder Nunes and I’m finishing my master degree in Informatics and Computing Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto in Portugal. I have a big desire to finish this with distinction, however I’m aware it will not be easy. I created this blog to organise information that I am gathering browsing the Web. My Master Thesis theme is about GIS (Geographic Information Systems) an I will have to develop an application to Câmara Municipal do Porto so the responsible ones can manage, in sito all the city equipments using GPS enabled mobile devices. This will be a Web application using (as far as I know) PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Ruby[or]PHP , Google Maps, Google Earth and probabily more technology. Hope these data can be useful to someone else.
